Kristy Tierney

Owner of Grip Fitness

My name is Kristy and I am a mum of two!!

I am a fitness trainer and have had a massive passion for fitness most of my life and have always trained but more seriously in the past 8 years. 

I'm an honest person (sometimes a little too honest-foot in mouth syndrome) very down to earth and LOVE to have a laugh!!!

I have a huge interest in body building which I’m sure you will figure out, but I can also help with nutrition, conditioning, toning and weight loss as I know how hard it can be and what it takes.

 

I put 20+kgs on with both pregnancies but proof that if you want it bad enough anything is possible I was featured in Oxygen Magazine- Real fit mums section a few months after having my first baby and competed in my first Anb sports model competition 2 years after the birth of my 2nd child where I placed 3rd and won best routine. 

 

I have also recently just competed as a Fitness Model in the INBA Vic titles and placed 4th in Novice and 5th in Intermediate qualifying to compete in the Australian titles in Brisbane.

I’m sure you’ve heard sayings like ‘Abs are made in the kitchen’ and so on but they really are. It all comes down to what you eat and I believe that with a little extra educating I can guide you with correcting your eating habits resulting in not just a better body, giving you more energy each day, a happier disposition and an overall healthier you.

Sharnee Taylor

Hi I'm Sharnee!

I grew up on Phillip Island and moved to Melbourne to study and have now returned. I am passionate about fitness and nutrition and love helping clients with their goals.

I have recently competed in INBA Ballarat Classic as a bikini model placing 3rd in Open and 5th in Novice and Intermediate.

I competed June last year in INBA All Women's Classic and placed 4th in First Timers and Novice.

 

I have severe Endometriosis and have been living with is for years, after surgery and being bed ridden for several months I decided to change my diet and start exercising. After changing my lifestyle my health started improving and I have greatly decreased my pain levels.

 

That is when I decided to compete and give myself a goal to cure my constant pain.

 

Health and nutrition can work as medicine to your body if you let it.

 

Health and fitness has changed my life and I want to help you change yours.

 

I am one of the instructors at Grip Fitness.

Matt Schulte

Hey I’m Matt,

and I’m the newest addition to the Team. I am currently active as a Personal trainer and as a group Instructor at Grip fitness.

Fitness had been a big part of my life for the past 10 years.

I always wanted a career in the fitness industry but I first got to serve a little time as a military police officer in the Netherlands. On the side I was working for myself as a Personal Trainer and gave Bootcamp classes outside. As you might have noticed from my last name, I’m not from around here. 

I spend 14 years with the Police, but we decided it’s time for a change and follow our dreams. So the last 4 years I got all my certifications in from Fitness Instructor Lvl III to Personal Trainer Lvl IV. In addition I spent some time  completing courses like Sports and Nutrition, and Functional Trainer Specialist, Fully EREPS qualified.

I love the position of being a Personal Trainer, and figuring out, with the client what kind of training and nutrition program will suit them best. No person is alike, so there is no golden standard which every person can follow and expect the same results.
